The Cryptowatch alternative that picks up where it left off.

Cryptowatch defined the multi-exchange crypto terminal — then Kraken shut it down. WatchCrypto rebuilds that workflow with real-time charts, orderbooks, and trade tape. Free, no credits.

What happened to Cryptowatch?

Cryptowatch launched in 2014 and became the standard workspace for serious crypto traders: dozens of exchanges in one dense, dark, fast interface. Kraken acquired it in 2017, and in September 2023 shut it down, redirecting users to Kraken Pro.

Kraken Pro is a fine exchange interface — for Kraken. What disappeared was the thing Cryptowatch actually pioneered: one terminal watching every exchange at once. Multi-exchange charts, cross-venue orderbooks, a screener across markets, custom boards you arranged yourself.

WatchCrypto was built to bring that workflow back — and to push it further than Cryptowatch ever went.

What's the same

The core Cryptowatch workflow is intact: open the terminal, arrange chart, orderbook, and trade-tape panels however you work, and watch every venue from one screen. The markets overview, screener, and per-market chart pages cover the browsing side. Dark, dense, information-first design — the aesthetic Cryptowatch users actually want, not a marketing site with a chart in it.

Kraken acquired Cryptowatch in 2017 and shut it down in September 2023, redirecting traffic to Kraken Pro. The multi-exchange terminal it pioneered disappeared with it.

Is WatchCrypto a free Cryptowatch alternative?

Yes — free with no subscription and no credit system. Charts, orderbooks, trade tape, alerts, and layouts are all included. See how we make money.

Can I trade from WatchCrypto like I could on Cryptowatch?

Trading is currently supported on Hyperliquid, directly from the chart. Cryptowatch supported more venues via API keys; WatchCrypto focuses on one venue done well, with more planned.
