From Cryptowatch to WatchCrypto.
A five-minute map from the terminal Kraken shut down to the one that replaced it: what’s identical, what’s new, and what’s honestly still missing.

What you’ll honestly miss
- Exchange breadth. Cryptowatch listed 25+ venues; WatchCrypto streams five, deeply. If your daily driver was an exotic venue, check coverage first — and request it on Telegram; the roadmap is demand-driven.
- Multi-venue key trading. Trading many exchanges from one screen via API keys was Cryptowatch’s power feature. Here execution is Hyperliquid-native only, for now.
- The desktop binary. The PWA covers most of it, but if you loved the native app, that’s a real difference.
Five-minute setup
- Open the terminal — no account needed for any of the following.
- Rebuild your board. Add chart panes for your core markets, then an orderbook and tape beside your primary one. Drag and resize until it feels like home; it saves itself.
- Recreate your watchlist. Add your markets across venues — all 170 Hyperliquid perps are in the picker, alongside the CEX pairs.
- Set your alerts. This is the one step that needs a (free) account. No credits, no SMS fees.
- Optional: connect Hyperliquid if you want execution on the chart — order form, positions, and fills in one dock.
